Suz gets it! I have been getting my hair cut by them since I moved to Chicago and it has transformed my hair cutting experience from the necessary evil of barbershop/salon judgment ("you really want a mullet? how about a pixie.." "that's more of a men's cut, let's leave it a little longer..") to a creative, expansive, relaxing, affirming, just bloody good time. Suz is so kind and considerate and strikes a perfect balance of listening really well to what you want and knowing how to take it to the next level - one time I asked for "first glance skater boy, second glance glamorous flapper" and they somehow knew what I wanted even more than I did. I always leave Suz's place feeling like a million bucks - not just because my hair looks fly but because they usually have just given me insightful advice about my love life and/or hooked me up with employment opportunities (true story). Suz is a shining gem of queer creative community in Chicago. Thank you Suz ! x

Suz is great and the meow meow dingus butts are sweet as can be though they take a little bit to warm up to new folks. I’ve always cut my own hair (save a couple times in my youth) and always hated the awful pricing and gendering that happens in both salons and barbershops. Sliding scale, queer focused haircutteries are a much needed step forward. Thank you Suz!!
